That's MY Dad!

The house is quiet and dad doesn't know I'm upstairs.

First, I hear him using baby-talk with the dogs. Who does that? (OK, sometimes I do that but I am pretty sure I'm the only one! Now I know where I get it...) It should be noted, especially, that of the two dogs, Paris has him wrapped around her tiny paw. Leftover filet Mignon and eggs for breakfast, anyone?

Moments later I hear him go into his room and start singing from the top of his lungs. I hope whatever joy is infiltrating his spirit today is contagious!

Your dad seems so cute!

To answer your question about our yule log (because I'm sure you're on pins and needles wondering), ours was chocolate and came from Heidelberg Bakery on La Paz near Claim Jumper (which, by the way, I just heard CJ shut down? Tragic). But honestly, it wasn't all that great and I don't know if this will be anything we keep up. My dad only got it cuz he got a coupon in the mail offering a discounted one. Blah, blah, blah, enough about that. I'm always amazed at how you read my blog among alllll the others I know you subscribe to! You're amazing. I've been trying to cut blogging out of my life to a degree (it's great to catch up with friends, like you, but it was taking up far too much of my time) but I love how it journals my life. So I'm keeping up mine, just not keeping up with my google reader. So basically, the fact that you can keep up with so many, and still maintain normalcy in life is pretty impressive! I don't know how you do it! Thanks for the comment Casey! Always so fun to hear from you!

P.S. I just realized I probably sounded like a total blog snob in my comment! I really didn't mean to come across like that!

P.P.S. I think you should write that email to that pastor. Sometimes people hust don't realize things, and a gentle nudging can go a long way in the future. I really don't understand other churches that blast our church, for example. We don't talk about theirs, why do they have to talk about ours? I just don't get it. But anyway, good luck in finding a new one. Like Rach said, you're always welcome at ours (or you can talk to me if you have q's and no interest in actually going, I know some people may feel like that).

How's that for 2 of the longest comments I've ever left?!!

@Kristyn Y'all just opened a new one literally inside of my neighborhood. I could walk there. It's always empty. Maybe we will go sometime if we ever see people.
